twenty years ago, dr. dre hosted a female tv reporter named dee barnes over his shoulder, slammed her into a wall, attempted to throw her down a flight of stairs, kicked her repeatedly, chased her into a restroom and punched her. 

he later said, “people talk all this shit, but you know, somebody fuck with me, i’m gonna fuck with them. i just did it, you know. it ain’t no big thing - i just threw her through a door.”

his male colleagues said “bitch deserved it” and “bitch had it coming.”

today, dr. dre does soda commercials and sells headphones and records top 40 hits.

and the music industry continues to erase the violence he perpetuated simply because people continue to buy his records.

It’s because THIS is society’s motherfucking mentality. Boys will be boys. I wipe my ass with that shit, nigga shoulda gotten shot for that >:( that’s why I always listen to Dre with a grain of salt.
